BASIS announces BBj® and Barista® Application Framework, both at version 10.0, that represent another major step forward in Business BASIC technology, including the Browser User Interface.

Language/Interpreter

• Browser User Interface (BUI) capability enabling deployment of applications in a browser, without a JVM. See it in action.
• Improved performance on BBj Thin Client on the WAN for all users of the technology, including Barista-powered applications

• New, more efficient installer with advanced record/playback capabilities
• Support for alternatively configuring and using LDAP/Active Directory user authentication instead of traditional BBj authentication

• Software Asset Management (SAM) feature eliminates check for bootstrap.jar and the need to register jars

BASIS License Manager

• Virtual license now runs on any cloud machine, including VMWare, XEN, and Amazon cloud, so that changing host IDs will not interrupt the production or development process.
