Let your users run their favorite operating system (and database). Develop on whatever you prefer, and deploy on the OS your customers prefer. BASIS supports any mixture of all major operating systems including Linux (SuSE, Red Hat and others), Solaris, Mac OS X, Windows on the server and client side. Technologies like VMWare, Windows RDP Terminal Services, or Citrix are fully supported (but not required).

Change and Mix Operating Systems as You Need

Regardless whether you use a single operating system or multiple, regardless whether you may wish to switch: there are no additional configuration or code adjustments neccessary. Moving your application from one server OS to another is simply a cut and paste process and will take only a few seconds! The choice of operating system is no longer dependent on your application!
